As a mother whose sons have faced challenges within both the juvenile justice and adult prison systems, I understand how overwhelming it can feel when a young person needs guidance, advocacy, opportunity, and someone who genuinely believes in them. Those experiences inspired me to become the source of support I once needed—not only for myself and my children, but also for other young people and families facing similar challenges.

Through Empower With Tish, my primary mission is to help young adults recognize their worth, find their voices, overcome barriers, and develop the life and career skills needed to become confident, stable, self-sufficient, and independent. Guided by the BRIGHT PATH principles, I create safe, encouraging, and trauma-informed spaces where young adults feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered to make informed decisions about their futures.

A central part of my mission is helping to reduce recidivism by addressing the barriers that can lead young people back into the juvenile justice or adult prison system. Through mentorship, advocacy, career preparation, life-skills development, education, positive support, and meaningful opportunities, I want to help young adults build stable lives, make healthier decisions, and successfully move forward.

In addition to youth and young-adult programs, Empower With Tish offers school workshops and creative business services for individuals, schools, organizations, and entrepreneurs. These add-on services include website design, digital downloads, customized workbooks, curricula, forms, business documents, branding materials, flyers, and other resources designed to help clients bring their ideas and visions to life.

I believe in second chances, individualized support, and the potential within every young adult. Whether I am helping someone prepare for employment, develop independent-living skills, build confidence, avoid returning to the justice system, or transform a meaningful idea into a professional resource, my goal is to empower, inspire, and elevate others as they create futures they can be proud of.

I am currently working with Welfare Reform Liaison Project (WRLP) through my Empower With Tish program from September 8, 2026, through December 15, 2026, completing the Tomorrow’s Titans youth program.

Every young person deserves a second chance and support to build a brighter future. Empower With Tish supports youth on probation, preparing for release from juvenile facilities, returning to their communities, or at risk of entering the justice system.

Through a trauma-informed approach, we pair encouragement with accountability, helping youth make positive choices, strengthen relationships, and create practical plans for their next steps. Our focus is early intervention, prevention, successful community reintegration, and reducing recidivism.

• Trauma-informed mentorship: Build trust, confidence, healthy coping skills, and meaningful goals through consistent, compassionate support.
• Reentry planning: Create an individualized transition plan before release and connect youth with community resources and ongoing support.
• Probation support: Help youth organize appointments, understand expectations, and build routines that support accountability and follow-through.
• Early intervention: Identify barriers and risky patterns early, encourage positive decisions, and connect youth with constructive opportunities.
• Conflict resolution: Practice communication, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and peaceful responses to conflict.
• Family engagement: Engage parents, caregivers, and trusted supporters to strengthen communication and shared goals.
• Educational support: Support school reengagement, attendance, academic goals, and connections to educational resources.
• Career readiness: Develop job-search, application, resume, interview, and workplace skills.
• Independent living skills: Build budgeting, time management, self-advocacy, and everyday decision-making skills.

We work alongside youth, families, schools, probation officers, and community partners to support progress, personal responsibility, and lasting opportunity.
